Silent night is the only Christmas Carol that I have ever heard or learned in various different languages. Although I'm sure other songs can be translated, the ease with which Silent Night flows into other cultural expressions, to me, really makes manifest the true significance of Christmas: the idea(l) of peace among all people who are found on having to share this globe.
